Charleston is for…everyone!

Girls trip? Guys trip? Romantic getaway? Family adventure? Solo trip? Charleston is a town that has something for everyone. It’s rich in history (making a walking tour an awesome first stop!) filled with delicious food & drink, gorgeous parks, stunning scenery, a great bike share, awe inspiring architecture, a super yummy Farmer’s Market and awesome day trip options!

Let’s start with the accommodations. I wish I could spend a week just trying out all of the different hotels in Charleston. I love a good rental property, but the hotels in Charleston are something special and totally worth the experience. Back up to rentals – if you’re traveling with kids – we always love this option! Everyone can have their own space. So, your options are endless here! And, you can head just outside of Charleston to find a gorgeous beachfront property so it’s easy to get back into town, but you can also have the relaxing beach experience (as relaxing as it gets with kids in tow!). We visited Sullivan’s Island. And, Folly Beach. We spoke to many people who love the beaches in Charleston! Super fun family experience.
If you’re on a girls trip, guys trip, solo adventure or romantic getaway – your hotel options are endless. The Restoration is right in the midst all of the shops. Zero George, where we stayed, is a true gem! They also offer a fun cooking class! And, happy hour every day with wine, cheese and crackers. And, the list goes on. Don’t worry – there are several Charleston Guides available on Wild Bum that have you covered with all of the juicy deets!

The food…I mean. Some of the best food I’ve ever consumed happened in Charleston. From the hole in the walls, to the beautiful trendy spots to the Farmer’s Market! SO SO good. I know my Wild Bum Guide is a little cray cray with several pages of food recs!! When I asked my husband for his highlight he said, “The food, the food, the food!”. So there you go!

The history. The architecture. You can walk around all day taking in the beautiful homes and sights. It doesn’t hurt that Charleston also offers great shopping!

You can explore by foot, hop on their bike share, rent a bike for a longer trek. Do some of their kooky (& spooky tours), head out to gorgeous plantations. Charleston really has it all! Have you been? If not – keep it on your radar!
